Hi, I’m a casual worker at Supervised Contact Workers (SCW). I have a passion in assisting families and seeing wholeness in young children. I love creating a secure and warm environment for parents and children to reunite and create positive relationships.
I completed a Diploma of Counselling in 2011. I pursued community focused driven careers such as working for the NSW Police Department (2017-2019) and working with Youth, at Marist 180, (2019 – present). I also have an updated First Aid, Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWC0916603E)
What experience do you have?
I have worked within the government and private sector over the past 5 years. I have developed various skill sets, such as, communication, security and safety, de-escalation of potentially dangerous situations, transportation and supervision of both youth and adults, and leadership.
What makes you a good Supervised Contact Worker?
Having gone through a challenging upbringing, I have developed empathy for children. I want to create a safe and nurturing environment, so they can have a positive experience during their visits. Apart from this, I believe my skill sets that I have developed, my life and career experiences such as a Police Officer, and Youth Worker is an addition to what I can contribute as a supervised contact worker.
Our mission is to always keep the children safe and happy. We want to provide our clients with the certainty that their child is our main priority. Without any therapeutic work, we are here to observe, objectively and impartially as to what occurred during our time supervising. For their interpretation, our clients are to then be provided a detailed report clearly observing what has occurred without any opinion. As our clients go through these changes, we will make sure to lead them with kindness and always guide them with transparency.
